Payments for repair work, kit sales, parts sales and Vintage guitars:
For customers visiting the shop I take payment in the form of cash or check. Those mailing payments for repairs or purchases may send a personal or business check or money order/cashier check. Items paid by personal check or money order usually ship after the check clears my bank, which is usually 5 business days for personal checks and 2 business days for money orders. I also accept payment by paypal. Paypal payments require an additional 3% charge to cover paypal's fees. All published and quoted prices are for the item or service only and do not include sales tax to New York State buyers. NY state residents must pay 8% state sales tax on all purchases of merchandise or services. I do not accept credit cards in the shop, customers wishing or needing to pay with their credit card may do so through Paypal.
Return Policy:
Kovacik Guitars guarantees any guitar sold to be exactly as described. A 48 hour approval period accompanies every sale unless an item is marked 'as is'. As-is items are final sale, no returns. If a buyer would like to return an item he/she must contact Kovacik Guitars within 48 hours of the delivery time as recorded on the shipping carrier's tracking website. Please call or email before returning an item as many issues can be resolved over the phone or email without the need to return the item. If, after contacting the shop, the item is to be returned the buyer must ship the item within 24 hours of signalling the intent to return (return shipping and insurance is at the buyer's expense, the item must be insured for full purchase price). The item must be packed exactly as it was when it was originally shipped and it the same carton and returned by the same carrier AND service that was used to ship it to the buyer. The buyer must also provide tracking information once the item is shipped. Once the item is received, unpacked and judged to be in the same condition as when it was sent Kovacik Guitars will issue a refund of the purchase price (minus shipping) within 48 hours. Failing to follow these simple guidelines may result in refusal of the item on return.
